  • Richmond Hill: Heartwood, Waterways, and the shop address.
SAVANNAH PERMITS

When a Savannah fence needs a permit.

Inside the City of Savannah, the Development Services bulletin revised June 11, 2026 says a fence permit is required to build a wood or chain-link fence over 7 feet, and for masonry, concrete, or any fence structure that will have a footing. A shorter wood or chain-link fence with no footing is not on that permit list. Owens obtains the fence permit when the bulletin requires one. The owner still handles HOA, landlord, and Historic Review Board approvals. The bulletin’s zoning phone number, as quoted on the Savannah page, is (912) 651-6530. Written warranties are on the warranties page.
