Choose the right wood fence style
A stockade fence uses side-by-side pickets for a traditional privacy layout. Board-on-board overlaps the pickets; cap and trim adds a finished top and clean detail. Shadowbox alternates boards on opposite sides of the rails, giving both sides a finished appearance while allowing angled views and airflow. We also build horizontal, picket, and split-rail designs.
Pressure-treated pine, cedar, and steel post options
Choose pressure-treated pine or ask about a cedar upgrade. Wood changes as it dries and weathers, so appearance, maintenance, and the privacy you want all matter when choosing a style. PostMaster+ galvanized-steel posts are available as an upgrade and can be concealed within a wood-fence design. We confirm the post, rail, and picket specification in your quote.
Gates and slopes deserve their own plan
A fence should work with the way you use the yard. We plan walk gates, wider double gates for equipment, transitions in height, and changes in grade during the site visit. Tell us about pets, lawn equipment, driveway access, trees, and any areas that hold water. For a powered driveway entrance, explore our automated gate service.
Plan the finish with the fence
A stain can change the appearance and help protect exposed wood. Product choice, wood condition, preparation, and drying affect when staining should be done. Compare our fence staining and sealing options, and bring any required HOA color or finish information to the quote visit.
